Frequently asked questions
General
Who are NexGen courses for?
Beginners entering the oil and gas industry, petroleum engineering students and graduates, new and junior rig personnel, HSE beginners, and experienced people who want a structured refresher.
Do I need oilfield experience?
No. Drilling Operations Fundamentals starts from the basics and explains every technical term. You need to be comfortable reading technical English and doing simple arithmetic.
How long does the course take?
Drilling Operations Fundamentals takes about 8–10 hours, including quizzes and the final exam. It is self-paced, so you can spread it over days or weeks.
Can I study on my phone?
Yes. The site works on phones, tablets and computers, and your progress is saved to your account.
Certificates
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. When you complete all lessons, pass every module quiz and pass the final exam, you can download a Certificate of Completion with a unique ID that anyone can verify on our website.
Is the certificate accredited?
No. It is a Certificate of Completion for an introductory online course. It is not an accredited qualification, it is not well-control certification (such as IADC WellSharp or IWCF), and it does not authorise you to operate any equipment.
Will this course get me a job?
We cannot promise employment. The course gives you a solid foundation of knowledge and vocabulary that can help you prepare for interviews, employer training and your first assignments.
Payments and refunds
How do I pay?
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. You can use UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and supported wallets. We never see or store your card details.
What if my payment fails or money is deducted but I have no access?
Course access is granted automatically once the payment is confirmed. If money was deducted but your course does not appear within an hour, contact support with your payment reference and we will resolve it.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within the conditions in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
